How do you go about bringing suit against a company that did not stand by the contract?

I had a contract with a home security company, well the alarm would not stop beep beep beeping and I called them, they said would send some one out and he and I played phone tag 2 months went by no alarm( i unplugged it) went to bank and stopped the payments from being taken out. Now said Co. is calliing wanting money……. I feel they were in the wrong not me! How do I handle this ?
Start with the Better Business Bureau and see if you can get some sort of settlement worked out. After that, you will need to go to court (which costs money) to get the contract nullified or a court order to get the company to fix the alarm.
