I was broken into about two weeks ago and the alarm didn’t go off when they entered. I have been trying it the past two weeks and it seems to slip up alot. Can the alarm company be held liable at all???
Depends on the contract that you signed!
Either you live in a small city or you were lied to! I know of no company that can connect a direct alarm into the police department, that sounds like salesmen mumbo jumbo!!!! Usually the alarm company gets the alarm, the call the house and check to see if you or anyone with a code tripped the alarm by accident, if that did not happen the call police dispatch, and advise of a silent burglar alarm or outside (audible) local alarm going off. We get the call and dispatch it as soon as we have an available unit! Neither of these are high priority calls unless they have second call backing it up telling us of an actual eyeball witness suspicious activity at the location!!!!! If you been burglarized, actual property taken, and the sole reason you bought that alarm system was because you were told of it sounding off directly to the cops, you may have room to sue!!!!!
