power outage – alarm system?

After a power outage does the alarm company have to come and reset your alarm system so it registers at the police station. I cannot seem to reset the clock or get it to chime as a door opens. The alarm does go off as it should but i question if it still is monitored to the police station?

most alarms will automatically reset after a power outage, and Will then be fully functional

It should reset its self unless your power box has a short. There is a secret way that the techs can reset it manual from the main box so if you can’t get it to work. Call them and ask them how to do it.
