Should a paralegal program be approved by the bar association?

There is only one paralegal program in my town, but when I checked out which ones were approved it wasn’t on there. Does that really effect whether or not you are hired? Should I move to a place where they do have an approved one?

My husband is in a paralegal program at CSU Eastbay (look under the school’s continue education)and it’s accredited by the bar association. He told me that you should go to a accredited otherwise you would have to take a exam. I think this depends on which state you want to work in.
