Should we tip the guy who’s installing our home alarm system? He’s from the security company.?

Not a contractor, but from the company we’re already shelling out the bucks to for a home system. Are we supposed to tip him, and if so, how much? He’s here now but almost done… help!
No you don’t need to tip him, In fact most companies forbid them to except tips from the customers..
You’re not obligated to, but I don’t think it would hurt if you did.

NO! Not unless he’s did something way above and beyond the call of duty or gave you something free.
If you don’t he’s liable to come back and tip himself!!! Just kidding most are paid very well it’s probably not necessary…
DEFINITLY >>>>that is if you were satisfiied with his work..These companies dont pay some of these very hard working people hardly enough to live off of. I do profesional window cleaning and Ill quote people a rate do the job and frequently recive tips I think it is a great way to compliment a job well done..
No, don’t tip him, or painters or plumbers or electricians or other career folks.
The people who get tips on in-home work are generally less- skilled workers, like cleaners and movers.
No need to tip. Unless he or she has REALLY gone out of their way for you, then it would be ok to. I agree with the comment about the movers and cleaners being the ones who get tipped…. its really your preference
I work for the major security company in the usa… NOOOOO NOOOO never tip….if boss finds out we can be reprimanded or worse
