I have a house alarm thats directly linked to the police station and was broken into!!!?

I was broken into about two weeks ago and the alarm didn’t go off when they entered. I have been trying it the past two weeks and it seems to slip up alot. Can the alarm company be held liable at all???

Is it possible to sue a car alarm company if car is broken in and alarm didn’t sound?
