Plan would put burden of needless Detroit Police runs on burglar alarm companies, residents
In an effort to reduce Detroit’s notoriously slow police response times, cops may soon stop investigating most residential and business burglary alarms until a crime is verified by the alarm company or a 911 caller, under a plan pitched to council members today.

Could alarm clock companies go under if we all just put roosters on our dressers ?

Well im looking to secure my home with an alarm system. I basically want a company that offers a free system that I get to keep if I ever cancel the contract, and thats under $40/month. So far I know of the following companies in Connecticut:

-ADT
-Brinks
-protection one
-Safe Home Security (SHS)

If there are any other companies that you would recommend post em, and please suggest a company that meets my specs.

What are the downsides to using alarm companies, such as ADT?

Are small house alarm security companies just as good as the large ones?

We are moving to a new house and going to be calling around for a bid on a security system. I know it’s not going to be cheap because we need about 6 doors, 6 windows, and probably 2 motion detectors for the house. My question is if the large companies are better to stick with such as ADT or Brinks, or are the smaller local companies just as good, worse, or better?
What’s your opinion?
