cuttign the wires of my house alarm ?

if i cut the wires of my alarm , but just the one thats near my window,
so when i feelliek sneaking out at night the alarm wont make any noise or turn on when i come in.
will the alarm not work?
or would the alarm turn on and send soem type of signal to the alarm [...]
