If you told them that, and they allowed a discount for having an alarm, you would save a small amount on your premium. They might never find out, but you would know. Also, consider this scenario, your vehicle is stolen. You report it. The police find it and the insurance covers the tow to the impound yard, where the adjuster goes to see the damages and get you paid. The adjuster sees there is NO alarm system. You have committed fraud, and it’s no longer covered. They walk away, and you pay for the towing, storage and repairs.

It’s called insurance fraud. You never know if/when they will find out. Maybe they won’t, but if you make a claim , especially for theft, and they find out there’s no alarm, you wouldn’t be covered. Just be honest with them.

WELL SINCE YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY, IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED FRAUD AND YES YOU COULD GET BOTH JAIL TIME AS WELL AS A FINE.

I guess it depends on the company.

And if your car gets stolen and recovered, and the insurance adustor notices that you don’t actually have an alarm, it would void your agreement – and they wouldn’t have to pay you jack.

you’ll be guilty of insurance fraud, and if it is discovered, perhaps in a claim with subsequent recovery or a crash, you will have a lot bigger problems than the discount will be worth

The world is full of stupid people, champ.

Some don’t notice you are missing an alarm, and

Some claim to have an alarm for a few pennies off their insurance policy.

Either way… consider the risk if a smart one checks your car after an accident.

    >>>Money saved on insurance … a few bucks per year

    >>>Money lost on uninsured vehicle … a couple of thou .

    >>>Look on the face of former auto ower … PRICELESS
