Our government has chose to ignore the problem so we have to pay.
because you vote liberal thinkers in to office?
Because we also enjoy the benefits of lower food prices, lower restaurant and service industry prices, lower domestic help wages, etc. etc.
Besides most illegals pay taxes but can’t never apply for a refund or Social Security. That’s the main reason the goverment looks the other way.
Because there are certain politicians that think that providing services to illegals will get them more votes.
If I was in a position to do so, I’d propose new legistation that makes children born here, of illegal immigrants, NOT citizens. Because here in Houston, the second an illegal woman gives birth in one of our public hospitals, they’re signed up for WIC “for the baby”. Who, of course, is now a citizen.
Altought I agree that the illegals situation is a big problem -and no one is trying to fix it-, it doesn’t mean that if all illegals disapear, the taxes will be lower.
Do you really think that insurance companies will lower their premiums just because of that?
Let me give you a good example: Here in california we have a huge problem with the inmigraiton. And car insurance is mandatory (if you do not have, they will take away your car registration). Statistics say that we have about 2 cars per person here. So there is coverage for almost 60 million vehicles. Which means that if everyone (or almost everyone) has insurance, the risk is really spread above a large pool of people. Therefore by the definition of insurance, the premiums should go down.
And you can ask anyone, that is not the case at all.
Vote, vote, vote… for the right leaders who understand the issues and not afraid to make the right choices, even if it may hurt some. This is the land of opportunity, not the land of vagabonds..
